The Faculty of Humanities provides diverse and advanced education and research relating to history and culture, using Kyoto, an ancient capital with a long history and tradition, as its field. The faculty is composed of three departments: Japanese Language and Literature, History, and Historical Heritage, and each department is characterized by its active incorporation of practice and fieldwork, mainly in Kyoto.
