Discover your own, unique talent at Kyoto Tachibana University.
Kyoto Tachibana is a comprehensive university with a range of faculties from the liberal arts and education, to the social sciences and medicine. Yet, unlike the so-called “mammoth universities”, anyone who has visited our campus, set in on the hillsides of Yamashina and surrounded with greenery, will know that we are a relatively small-scale institution.
Because of its intimate scale, it is easy for the teaching or office staff to get to know all of the students, and vice versa. Having a variety of departments within a suitably-sized campus is the single most important feature of the University.
Within each of the different departments are a variety of study styles, and a variety of individualistic ways of thinking. Kyoto Tachibana encourages intellectual exchange between all of its faculties and their departments, which, in turn, creates a fresh and dynamic atmosphere both in the classroom and in its research. We are confident that the variety of life and study styles that await you here on campus can provide you with the stimulation you require in your search for your own future.
It hardly needs saying that universities are places of study. In their four undergraduate years, we want each of our students to find their own field of research, and to experience the deep satisfaction of undertaking an academic adventure. Total immersion in this kind of intellectual quest will, we are sure, lead its pursuer to the discovery of the unique talent that lies within each individual. In turn, this will provide you with an inner confidence that will equip you for life after graduation.
Over the years, Kyoto Tachibana University has developed a study support system through the provision of small-scale seminar classes that commences in the students’ very first year. The University’s teaching staff is both experienced and proficient, and will provide the kind of academic help that you require.
Within Kyoto Tachibana’s natural and friendly environment, we hope that each of our students will develop a broad knowledge of the world, as well as the skills needed in professional life, and the ability to express themselves. We hope that they develop into humane individuals who, through contact both with their many friends and with the University staff, are able to relate to the issues that face others, and to extend the hand of understanding.
